Myassa Kraitt is writing her master thesis in cultural and social anthropology at the University Vienna. She currently works as a counsellor and trainer in the field of violence prevention. In her educational practice she focusses on the questions of social justice and the unveiling of culturalization and essentialization. In her latest field she currently started to work on the topics of disability, war disability and education under war and siege.

Jelena Kupsjak is a PhD student of anthropology. She works as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology at the University of Zadar. She holds an MA in ethnology and anthropology and sociology, and a BA in pedagogy. Her interest are in medical anthropology and questions of difference, globalisation and environment. She is engaged in multiple ways in popularising anthropology and its approaches in different educational settings.

Martina Sturm graduated history and social and cultural anthropology at the University of Vienna. After teaching at vocational school she is now a university college teacher at University College for Teacher Education in Vienna. Her experience in research and teaching focuses on plurilingualism in educational settings, migration pedagogy, transculturality and social and political education.
Ioannis Manos studied History and Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Social Anthropology at the Universities of Hamburg, Germany, and Sussex in the UK. He has worked as a Visiting Professor at the Department of Social Anthropology, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität, in Münster, Germany and a Full Time Visiting Research Fellow at the Sussex European Institute, (Sussex University). He has received a post-graduate certificate in social research methods from the Graduate School in Social Sciences (Sussex University). He serves as the Europe regional editor for the Teaching Anthropology Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, co-convener of the EASA Teaching Anthropology Network. He is a founding member of the academic network for Anthropology and the Balkans «Border Crossings», member of its Advisory Board and co-editor of its publications series. His research interests include the study of borders and border regions; nationalism and ethnicity; political anthropology; dance anthropology; educational anthropology; migration; human and minority rights; epistemology and methodology of research; methodology of teaching anthropology; applied anthropology; Balkans/South-East Europe.

Tomislav Marić is an Assistant Headteacher at Bentley Wood High School, London, UK. He graduated Social Anthropology at Goldsmiths College, University of London. He is a co-author of Anthropology textbook Introducing Anthropology: What Makes Us Human? (link)
He also co-authored several sociology textbooks for pre-university level. Tomislav is teaching anthropology and sociology in secondary school in London. He is a member of Education Committee at Royal Anthropology Institute.

Ivan Arbanas, 34 years old, born and raised in Zadar, Croatia, is an English language and literature and a Sociology professor. He graduated from the University of Zadar. He has worked as a teacher in elementary schools, as a professor in high schools, as a translator, lector and interpreter, held business English courses, and has worked at the Social Welfare Centre, Zadar. He participated in TRANSCA project as a lector of the texts written for the project and as a ‘critical friend’ in the conference in Vienna in February, 2020.
Georgia Sarikoudi is a post doc fellow in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Both her Master thesis and her PhD were related to Greek community in Czech Republic and its repatriation. Her main research interests concern refugee studies; migration; second generation; Greek refuges; civil war; postsocialism; social memory.

Paul Sperneac-Wolfer graduated in Anthropology from the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna. Among other things, his interest lies in the intersection of education, transnational labor organization and the enactment of active citizenship among youth. In his bachelor-thesis, he conducted research among pupils at two German speaking schools in Romania. Besides the collaboration in the TRANSCA-project, he further explores the applied prospects of Anthropology in regard of its relation to journalism.
